Hayat Holding President of the Wood Group

Born in Rize in 1962, Prof. Dr. Davut Kavranoğlu completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and his master’s and Ph. D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology (CALTECH).

He has held senior responsibilities such as Deputy Minister of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye and Chief Advisor to the President in the fields of science, technology, education, and industry.

Most recently, in addition to chairing the Information Economy Association, he served as Chairman of the Board of San Francisco-based Geoxon from 2020 to 2025.

As of September 15, 2025, he has been serving as the President of the Wood Group at Hayat Holding.
